A space for fairy tales and myths, a place for your Sunday stroll, a fitness trail for joggers: the Germans have always had a special relationship with their forest. After all, it does cover about a third of the country’s land surface. The German Historical Museum (DHM) in Berlin examines the relations between Germans and woods – and also shows works by such artists as Caspar David Friedrich and Anselm Kiefer (until 4 March).
